Alan Mair, renowned musician and founding member of the influential band The Only Ones, returns with his latest single “Ghost Of You In Me”. Scheduled for release on August 25, 2025, the track is set to debut across all major digital platforms, adding another chapter to Mair’s celebrated career.
This new release carries a deeply emotional theme. “Ghost Of You In Me” explores the lingering presence of love, particularly when someone deeply cherished has moved on or passed away. Mair describes the inspiration: “The song reflects on when you are deeply in love with someone and they move away or indeed pass away some believe that the spirit or ghost of that person comes back to visit them.”
Written, sung, and produced by Mair himself, the track showcases his multi-instrumental talents, with the exception of lead guitar, which features the renowned Zal Cleminson. This collaboration adds a dynamic layer to the song’s rich sound, fusing alternative rock elements with anthem-like vocal energy.
Alan Mair’s decades-long musical journey includes performances at major festivals such as Glastonbury and Wireless, and numerous appearances with The Only Ones, a band credited with influencing acts like Nirvana, Blur, and The Libertines. His ability to seamlessly move between studio production and live performance has played a key role in shaping the compelling sound of “Ghost Of You In Me”.
