Zara Larsson unveils her fierce new track “Pretty Ugly” with an energetic, chaotic music video ahead of her upcoming album.

Global pop sensation Zara Larsson kicks off an audacious new chapter with the release of her high-energy single “Pretty Ugly,” available now via Sommer House / Epic Records. The electrifying track leans into the idea that, as Zara belts out, “sometimes a girl don’t wanna be well-behaved,” setting the tone for what promises to be a fearless era ahead of her upcoming fourth international album.

Written alongside MNEK, Helena Gao, and Margo Wildman, and produced by Margo XS and MNEK, “Pretty Ugly” pulses with low-slung electro beats and nostalgic ’90s house keys. The chorus erupts into a shout-along moment over a distorted beat: “Have you ever seen a pretty girl get ugly like this? / Messy like this? / Losing her shit?” It’s a celebration of unapologetic rebellion wrapped in high-energy production.

The Charlotte Rutherford-directed music video captures this raw spirit, showcasing Zara arriving barefoot in a retro VW, only to spark a frenzy of choreography that descends into wild, rain-soaked chaos.

Following the single’s release, Zara will join Tate McRae’s Miss Possessive Tour across North America later this year. With “Pretty Ugly,” Zara Larsson delivers a thrilling, liberated anthem that’s ready to dominate stages and playlists alike.
