Z3LLA deliver “Pick Up The Tempo,” a pulsing dance-pop anthem driven by gritty synths and lustful energy.
Z3LLA return with a bold new offering, “Pick Up The Tempo”, fusing pop vocals with a darker electronic edge. The track marks the duo’s second release with Dim Mak, following May’s expansive single “Origami.”
Propelled by techno rhythms and sharp synths, “Pick Up The Tempo” oozes late-night energy. As Z3LLA explain, “‘Pick Up The Tempo’ is a song with pop vocal elements but an infectious darker electronic sound for us. It’s as if Tate McRae made a song for a 2am warehouse rave.”
There’s a driving pulse to the record, which Z3LLA describe as “lust” in sonic form. That intensity is already translating live, with the song premiering at select Phase 2 tour dates. “After teasing ‘Pick Up The Tempo’ on socials for the past couple months, getting to sing it live as the very first live vocals experience at a Z3LLA show was a surreal moment!” they shared. 
Having just kicked off the tour with shows in NYC and Cleveland, Z3LLA also performed alongside Galantis – a connection previously established at Brooklyn Mirage. Their sights now turn toward Breakaway Festival in Philadelphia this fall.
