Wolf Alice return with “The Clearing” on August 29 and announce major global tour.
Wolf Alice have announced their highly anticipated fourth studio album The Clearing, arriving August 29, along with a 20-date North American tour beginning September 10 in Atlanta, GA. The trek marks their most expansive yet, closing out in Los Angeles at The Wiltern.
This upcoming tour will include their biggest stages to date, including London’s O2 Arena, and follows performances at Glastonbury and BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
The announcement follows “Bloom Baby Bloom,” their explosive first single in three years. “I wanted a rock song… to sing like Axl Rose,” says Ellie Rowsell. “But to be singing a song about being a woman.” The accompanying Colin Solal Cardo-directed video features choreography by Ryan Heffington and adds a theatrical twist to traditional rock visuals.
Written in Seven Sisters, London, and recorded with Greg Kurstin in LA, The Clearing is described as their most confident and emotional work to date.
With a Mercury Prize, BRIT Award, and GRAMMY® nomination already under their belt, The Clearing and the tour that follows represent the next evolution of one of the UK’s most essential bands.
