New Zealand’s Will Swinton shares “Hold You Again,” a moody folk-rock track from his upcoming EP, December, out Dec. 13.
Will Swinton, the rising singer-songwriter from New Zealand, is back with his latest single, “Hold You Again,” a brooding folk-rock anthem with cinematic undertones. Released via 10K Projects/Capitol Records, the song offers a gripping preview of Swinton’s forthcoming EP, December, set to drop on December 13.
With its driving rhythm and stormy guitar melodies, “Hold You Again” captures a desperate attempt to mend a broken relationship. Swinton’s heartfelt lyrics dig deep into themes of regret and longing: “Maybe it’s what I deserve, for all the lies and all the hurt, but I still gotta try / ’Cause right now more than ever, I just wanna be forever in your eyes.”
The release is accompanied by a live performance video directed by Brandon Chen. The minimalist visuals amplify the track’s sense of emotional isolation, matching the raw energy of the music. This latest release continues a video series that began with the intimate “Where I Belong” and the poignant “Walls,” which garnered attention from Rolling Stone and ET.
Swinton’s earlier single “Flames” also left a mark, climbing to #9 on the Hot 20 NZ singles chart. With each release, Swinton’s reputation as a compelling artist with a unique voice grows stronger.
Listen to “Hold You Again” now and pre-save December for its December 13 debut.
