Global R&B music star Victoria Monét Returns With Her Brand New Stunning Single ‘F.U.C.K.”
The new single “F.U.C.K.” Written by Monét and produced by D’Mile, Victoria’s unmistakable vocals glide over a laid-back R&B beat, interlaced with soulful harmonies and playful electric guitar to produce a modern-day love song. A reflection of the updated approach to relationships for many, “F.U.C.K” emphasises the love that can be had for a “friend you can keep” without the ties of commitment.
“Victoria shares about the new single, ‘F.U.C.K’ is a nod to the millennial and gen Z mindset. We do not have to be confined to traditional commitment ideals, and instead, embody the freedom to be intimate when and with whom we mutually please! I wanted to give that non-binding friendship intimacy an official name…the way we see it, if you’re never in a relationship, you technically can never break up. It’s forever fun, it’s playful, it happens. So…F.U.C.K it!” Monét shares on the release.
Just ahead of the JAGUAR’s release, Monét dropped disco-influenced “Experience,” produced and featuring SG Lewis, which made a global impact and continues to have a viral presence with trending roller skating videos. Featured artist Khalid provides an unparalleled perfect match to Monét’s breezy vocal balm. The single was released on Juneteenth in celebration of Black joy, life, and love. Collectively, the singles have earned acclaim, landing Monet her late-night debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, performing “Moment”. Monét has been a favourite for streaming platforms, with early support from Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, YouTube and Deezer.
The rising star is responsible for some of the biggest hits leveraging her songwriting skills into chart-topping hits – most recently for Chloe X Halle (“Do It”), BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez (“Ice Cream), Brandy (“Rather Be”) – and again for Ariana Grande, whose new single and remix with Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion “34+35” sits in the Billboard Top 10. She was previously nominated for four Grammy Awards for her work on thank u, next – an album she was essential in architecting, and is currently nominated for writing “Do It” for Chloe x Halle.
2021 will also bring a new kind of adventure for Monét, who has been “promoted to the title just above Queen…Mom,” and is due very soon!
