Taylor Acorn | ‘Hangman’ drops with electric edge | Album ‘Poster Child’ launches a bold new pop-punk chapter

Taylor Acorn is entering a powerful new era. With her debut full-length album Poster Child set to arrive on October 24, 2025, the pop-punk rising star delivers a fiery new single, “Hangman”, now out via Fearless Records.

For nearly a decade, Acorn has cultivated a fiercely loyal following as an independent artist. But now, with the strength of a major label behind her, she’s using this new chapter to showcase her most unfiltered, emotionally honest songwriting yet.

Driven by sharp guitar lines and bittersweet energy, “Hangman” blends her signature edge with lyrical depth. It follows the success of “Goodbye, Good Riddance,” which set the tone for what’s shaping up to be a bold, confessional debut.

Acorn shares, “The idea of ‘Hangman’ came about during a time when, even though everything in my life was going well, I felt emotionally stuck—like the universe was playing a weird game with me. I’d be having the best day, and then boom—my car battery dies. One time, I literally looked up at the sky and yelled, ‘Oh, come on!’ I think a lot of us feel that way sometimes…”

Acorn’s approach to songwriting pulls from the raw spirit of pop-punk’s early icons—think Avril Lavigne and Paramore—but her voice is distinctly her own. Blending angst with authenticity, she brings modern clarity to the genre’s classic sounds.

With Poster Child on the horizon, “Hangman” signals more than just a new track—it marks the arrival of an artist ready to claim her space.
