SOFI TUKKER pays tribute to Passion Pit’s legacy with Sleepyhead 2025, a reimagining of the 2009 classic that helped define an era. Out now on Animal Talk Records, the track blends SOFI TUKKER’s signature electronic style with the nostalgic magic of the original.
For SOFI TUKKER, Sleepyhead 2025 represents a full-circle moment. “The original was one of my all-time favorite songs,” says Tucker Halpern. “After meeting Michael Angelakos, we talked about how much the industry has changed since he released Manners, and we wanted to bring this track back for a new generation.”
The track has already made waves, with John Summit giving it an early spin at his Tahoe Experts Only show. Beyond the release, Sleepyhead 2025 marks the relaunch of SOFI TUKKER’s label, Animal Talk Records. “We started Animal Talk in 2018, and we’re bringing it back,” Tucker shares. “This is just the beginning of what’s to come.”
