Sigrid is back with a vibrant new single titled “Jellyfish,” marking a refreshing new chapter for the Norwegian pop star. Known for her emotional resonance and soaring vocals, the artist leans into something lighter and more whimsical in this latest release.
Following two acclaimed albums and fan-favorite tracks like “Don’t Kill My Vibe” and “Mirror,” Sigrid takes a step back from intensity and delivers a song that feels like a burst of Scandinavian summer. “It’s my slightly more free-spirited and joyous side,” she says. “I wanted it to feel easy — like a Scandinavian summer. Flirting can feel so chaotic and stupid, but that’s the best part of it.”
The track was co-written and co-produced with longtime collaborator Askjell Solstrand, who also worked on her breakout ballad “Dynamite.” Their enduring creative chemistry has allowed Sigrid to explore vulnerability with confidence. “I love using my voice as a vessel to pour my heart out,” she says, “but on this song, I wanted it to sound carefree, joyful and playful — maybe a bit nonchalant.”
