Shaya Zamora continues his emotional deep-dive into human struggle and strength with “Dark Sea,” his latest release under Atlantic Records. Produced by longtime collaborator Maxwell “Mxwell” Harlor, the single is a cinematic reflection on inner battles and the resilience it takes to survive them.
With stirring lyrics and an ambient, melancholic tone, “Dark Sea” reinforces Zamora’s ability to translate personal vulnerability into universal connection. “‘We’re all drifting in a dark sea,’” Zamora says. “‘But even in the darkest waters, there’s a fight in us to break free and reach the light.’”
The single follows previous collaborations like “Monster” with colby! and “Lament” alongside Tommee Profitt and Sam Tinnesz. Zamora’s earlier solo drop “Numb” paved the way for this introspective moment. Known for his inclusion on the soundtracks of Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia and The Waterfront, Zamora continues to cross between indie acclaim and mainstream appeal.
