Rap queen Saweetie reveals new remix for “Best Friends” with Doja Cat Featuring Stefflon Don
The new single from Saweetie ‘Best Friend’ was already a boisterous celebration of female success and independence given Saweetie and Doja Cat’s razor-sharp bars, but Stefflon Don elevates the duo into an undeniable triple-threat with two fiery new verses.
‘Best Friend’ peaked at #35 on the Official Charts with a global tally of over 100 million streams, and its profile has been amplified by playlists at Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss Fresh and Capital Xtra. Already featuring Doja Cat, the track is now boosted by a remix which adds another star name in the shape of Stefflon Don.
Saweetie shares about the new remix, “My UK fans are so important, I wanted to give them a special treat with my Best Friend Stefflon Don. I can’t wait for everything to open back up so I can perform this remix for my UK Icy Gang!”
Last summer Saweetie dropped the thundering ‘Tap In’ remix with DaBaby, Post Malone, and Jack Harlow, which resulted in her first UK Top 40 hit. That was followed by her Billboard-charting, Jhené Aiko-assisted single ‘Back to the Streets’.
With production from Timbaland, Danja, Lil John, Murda Beatz and more, ‘Pretty B*tch Music’ is the soundtrack to Saweetie‘s inspiring movement, which encourages all women to define their own “pretty.” She’s said before that her empowered definition of B*tch = Boss. Independent. Tough. CEO. Hyphy.
Stefflon Don shares, “Saweetie is always killing it with her music and I’m so excited to be working alongside her for this remix, bringing some of my DON vibes to one of the biggest tracks of the year.”
Global star Stefflon Don rose to widespread fame when her Top 10 debut single ‘Hurtin Me’ (featuring French Montana) earned a colossal 2.3 billion streams and 444 million views, contributing to a career total that stands at 5.8 billion streams. Her list of collaborators have included Future, Lil Kim, Skepta, Mariah Carey, Sean Paul, Skepta, and Charli XCX.
