Sammy Virji and Chris Lake return with “925”, a sleek house groove that sets the tone for Virji’s debut album.
UKG trailblazer Sammy Virji joins forces with powerhouse producer Chris Lake for their latest single “925,” a sleek, tension-driven house cut out now via Astralwerks. The single arrives just ahead of Sammy’s debut album Same Day Cleaning, landing September 19, and follows the duo’s 2024 hit “Summertime Blues,” which has already amassed over 36 million streams.
With “925,” Sammy and Chris deliver a simmering build-up that bursts into an infectious groove layered with bass-heavy texture and a standout vocal hook. Their synergy is unmistakable, blending Virji’s rhythmic precision with Lake’s cinematic touch to create a track that is primed for dance floors and festival stages alike.
This marks the second collaboration between the artists, and it’s a strong continuation of their momentum. While “Summertime Blues” introduced fans to their undeniable chemistry, “925” refines and deepens that sonic bond, showcasing a mature, nuanced approach to modern bass house.
“925” joins an already stacked list of singles from Same Day Cleaning, including the UK Top 40 hit “Cops & Robbers” featuring Skepta, “Dis Badman” with Champion & IRAH, “I Guess We’re Not The Same,” and “Nostalgia” with Issey Cross.
Virji has seen a meteoric rise over the past year. From his nomination for Best Producer at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards to high-energy sets across Tomorrowland, Hideout, and NOS Alive, his influence is resonating far beyond the UKG scene. A surprise Times Square set and a stadium show at Forest Hills further cemented his global appeal.
Sammy’s current North American tour continues to build momentum as he heads toward Los Angeles on September 6. Until then, “925” is set to keep the party moving—and fans hooked.
