Samara Cyn returns with “Bad Brain,” a soulful reflection on mental tension and emotional clarity.

With momentum from her acclaimed debut The Drive Home, Samara Cyn returns with “Bad Brain”—a striking new single produced by frequent collaborator Whit Kane. Soulful and textured, “Bad Brain” builds on a sample of Thee Sacred Souls’ “Can I Call You Rose?” and explores the internal tug-of-war between anxiety and clarity.

Samara describes the track as “speaking to the battle with the anxieties and distractions of life,” and its layered composition and rhythmic drive encapsulate that struggle beautifully. “Bad Brain” is a seamless blend of soul, hip-hop, and dream-like production—testament to Samara’s creative range and introspection.

Currently, Samara is on tour supporting Smino on his Kountry Kousins Tour, running through June 22. Chosen by Smino himself, their budding creative bond has brought an added layer of authenticity to the tour’s dynamic energy.

Samara’s rise has been one to watch. Following The Drive Home, which earned recognition from Complex, Rolling Stone, and GENIUS, she’s landed on “Best New Artist” lists from Billboard, YouTube, Spotify, Amazon, and more. Her COLORS performance and viral singles “Katana” and “massa freestyle” have further showcased her dazzling versatility and raw artistry.

Co-signed by legends like Nas, Lauryn Hill, and Erykah Badu, Samara Cyn is building an influential legacy from just a handful of releases. With “Bad Brain,” she delivers yet another deeply resonant, genre-defying work.
