Sam Fender unveils a reworked “Rein Me In” featuring Olivia Dean, following a standout stadium performance.

British rocker Sam Fender has unveiled a fresh version of his standout track “Rein Me In,” this time reimagined as a duet with rising star Olivia Dean. The collaboration introduces a powerful new verse from Dean and marks the first time Fender has invited another artist to reinterpret one of his songs since teaming up with Noah Kahan on “Homesick.”

Originally featured on his chart-topping album People Watching, “Rein Me In” takes on a new emotional depth with Dean’s verse offering a female perspective. “If I collaborate with another artist on one of my songs, I prefer they write a new part and make it their own,” said Fender. “Olivia added a female perspective to ‘Rein Me In,’ and I think it’s all the better for it.”

The duet comes just weeks after the pair delivered a surprise live performance of the song at London Stadium. With 80,000 fans in attendance, the moment quickly went viral, with clips flooding social media. Dean’s contribution struck a chord with longtime fans and new listeners alike.

“‘Rein Me In’ is my favourite song on Sam’s album,” Dean shared. “So it was a pleasure to write a new verse from a female perspective. I’ve been a fan of Sam’s for a while now, so I’m so pleased we got to work together on this duet.”

The Daniel Broadley-directed music video uses footage captured during Fender’s recent UK stadium run, highlighting the magic of their live chemistry.

Fender’s People Watching tour continues with summer festival dates across the UK and Europe, followed by a return to the U.S. and a long-awaited Australian run this fall.
