Rosie Darling unveils “Roomful Of People”, a dynamic EP led by her introspective single “It Is What It Is.”

Indie-pop singer-songwriter Rosie Darling returns with her new EP Roomful Of People, now available via Nettwerk. Produced by Justin Gammella (FINNEAS, Ashe), the EP offers a vibrant new chapter for Rosie, highlighting both emotional insight and a lighter sonic landscape.

The lead track, “It Is What It Is,” showcases Rosie’s ability to marry heartfelt lyrics with ethereal melodies. Grappling with the end of a relationship, she sings, “I say, ‘It is what it is,’ because I know what it isn’t.” Rosie elaborates, “It’s about realizing where you stand with someone… some things are clear if you allow yourself to see them for what they are and not what they could be.”

This new EP marks a refreshing shift from her previous album Lanterns. “I was able to have more fun on this project. It’s energized, and it’s like a reset for me,” Rosie says. “I hope it’s a fun listen.”

Other highlights include “Roomful Of People,” featuring an emotional duet with Jake Scott, “Smoke & Mirrors,” a powerful anthem of self-worth, and “Joanna,” a nostalgic ode to enduring friendships.

Deeply personal yet universally relatable, Roomful Of People affirms Rosie Darling’s place as a distinct voice in indie-pop.
