Queen Naija reflects on love and motherhood in her heartfelt new single, “Straight Outta Heaven,” available now.
Queen Naija has unveiled her powerful new single, “Straight Outta Heaven,” via Capitol Records. The multi-platinum artist uses her signature vocal range and heartfelt lyricism to explore the deeply personal experience of motherhood and its connection to love, hope, and divinity.
The song reflects on Queen Naija’s journey as a mother to her two sons. Through touching lyrics, she shares the challenges and triumphs of raising children, offering prayers and unconditional love. “Being your mother didn’t come with instructions / So if I mess up please just know that I love you,” she sings. Queen Naija’s vulnerability shines in lines like, “As long as you’re okay / Then mommy is okay / If we ain’t got nobody else then we got us.”
“Straight Outta Heaven” serves as a sequel to her earlier hit “Mama’s Hand,” which was written for her firstborn son. Queen Naija explains, “When I became pregnant with my second-born, I worried how I would be able to split my love in half. That feeling led me to creating ‘Straight Outta Heaven.’ There are no instructions that come with how to do this #momlife, but all of us are just trying our best.”
The new single follows Queen Naija’s recent releases, “Missing You” and “Good Girls Finish Last,” marking her return after a brief hiatus. Her 2023 EP After the Butterflies featured standout tracks like “Words of Affirmation” and collaborations with Monica and NBA YoungBoy.
