Rising LA-based pop singer-songwriter OSTON is back with New EP, “Am I Talking Too Much?“
The 8-track collection of songs, out now via 3V Method Records/Virgin Music, takes the listener through OSTON’s journey of love, loss, and growth over the last two years.
Her single “Lie About You” experienced a viral moment, with over two million views and thousands of comments begging to release the song. The song accumulated over one million global streams in its first month across streaming platforms alongside the music video being featured on MTV.
OSTON shares: “‘Am I Talking Too Much?’ is a project detailing the ins-and-outs of my brain, where I worry that I’m going to ruin literally anything and everything good that’s within my grip. A lot of the time, I feel like I talk just to fill in life’s awkward silences. I spent a lot of time reflecting on how talking “too much” and overthinking are such big characteristics of mine, and part of what makes me who I am.”
OSTON has collaborated with many acclaimed artists, including UPSAHL (Arista), Bülow (Republic), JORDY (300 Ent), LØLØ (APG), Charlotte Sands, and writers/producers Tobias Jesso Jr. (Adele, Sia, Niall Horan), Ryan Raines (Dominic Fike, Peach Tree Rascals), House of Wolf (Carlie Hanson, Cheat Codes), Rollo (Noah Cyrus, Ava Max), and Louis Schoorl (Charlotte Lawrence).
She adds, “As humans, we’re all a little messed up in our own ways – but we’re allowed to be flawed and anxious and cranky and to feel our feelings. Writing this project helped me to see that while I have somewhat of an understanding of who I am and my purpose in this world, it doesn’t necessarily define who I have to be for the rest of my life. And that maybe the people who love and accept me for that are the people I really want in my life anyways.”
