Omar Rudberg releases “I’m Not A Boy,” a song about identity and self-expression, ahead of his nearly sold-out European tour.
Omar Rudberg begins the new year with an impactful release, unveiling his latest single, “I’m Not A Boy”, out now via Atlantic Records/TEN Music Group. The song, written alongside Sophia Somajo and produced by Elias Kapari, embraces themes of self-identity and the freedom to exist beyond labels.
In “I’m Not A Boy”, Omar delivers a deeply personal message:
“‘I’m Not A Boy’ is a song that makes me feel completely free – free to unapologetically be myself. The song is filled with metaphors that reflect the feeling of being different, and that’s what makes us unique and special. It’s dedicated to those of us who refuse to follow others’ expectations or limiting boxes. Be yourself, be bold, and be epic.” – Omar Rudberg
The track benefits from Elias Kapari’s signature production, previously featured in songs for Miriam Bryant and Thomas Stenström, while Sophia Somajo’s writing, known for hits with Robyn and Zara Larsson, adds a poetic depth. Together, they create a track that perfectly captures Omar’s artistry.
The single arrives just as Omar is set to embark on his Every Night Fantasy Tour, spanning 18 European cities. With over 17,000 tickets already sold, the tour is on the brink of selling out, continuing the momentum of his Every Night Fantasy album, which has already amassed over 15 million streams. Following a sold-out US and European tour in 2024, Omar’s return to the stage promises to be another landmark moment in his career.
