Heldens and Church blend trance, house, and emotion on their new single “Ruins” via Ministry of Sound.
Oliver Heldens has partnered with acclaimed vocalist Julia Church for a powerful new release titled “Ruins”, available now via Ministry of Sound/Sony. Known for his global dance hits and high-energy performances, Heldens presents a deeper, emotionally resonant side on this collaboration.
“Ruins” combines Heldens’ driving house and trance influences with Church’s stirring vocals, creating a melodic yet festival-ready track. The emotionally rich lyrics and uplifting arrangement deliver a cathartic release, celebrating vulnerability and resilience.
Heldens shared, “When I got the first demo version of this song from the brilliant Julia Church, it hit me right away, and I became determined to turn it into a massive dance anthem. Big pianos, big trancy lead synths, a big bassline, and even bigger vocals from Julia with deeply meaningful lyrics. It’s been amazing working with Julia and the other super-talented writers, Ollie Green and Franklin, and I’m thrilled how this turned into a modern dance smash, while we still kept such a timeless feel to it.”
A mainstay of the electronic scene, Heldens has amassed over 4 billion streams, performing at events like Tomorrowland, Ultra, EDC, and Coachella.
Julia Church, known for collaborations with Diplo, Kaskade, CamelPhat, and more, brings a signature blend of emotional storytelling and vocal depth that complements the track’s mood.
Catch Heldens live this year at The Indy 500, F1 Dutch Grand Prix, Creamfields, Pacha Ibiza, and more.
