Ninajirachi announces the return of her Dark Crystal event with umru and MGNA Crrrta for two exclusive Australian shows.
Australia’s electronic music luminary Ninajirachi is bringing her boundary-pushing club series Dark Crystal back to life this August with shows in Eora / Sydney and Naarm / Melbourne. This year’s edition will spotlight two standout names from the global underground: umru and MGNA Crrrta, marking a high-energy continuation of the event’s reputation for forward-thinking lineups.
Launching in 2022 during Sydney’s VIVID Festival, Dark Crystal has grown into a cornerstone event for Australia’s next-gen club community. With previous performances from artists like Donatachi, Ravenna Golden, and Doss, it’s cemented itself as a showcase for artists at the intersection of pop innovation and EDM experimentation.
This year’s curation follows the duo’s sold-out U.S. tour, Ninajirachi vs. umru: Tour-Based Combat, and fans can expect the same genre-defying energy on Australian soil. “There is girl edm and there is tour-based combat, angel music boy music and music period … this is the best lineup ever,” Ninajirachi shares.

Joining the bill again are MGNA Crrrta, who toured with Nina last year and later released their collaboration, “Angel Music,” which was named one of Billboard’s Top 50 Dance Songs of 2024. Known for their glittery aesthetic and infectious pop-electronica, the NYC duo have built their own scene, earning nods from Ke$ha, Uffie, and even Celine’s Hedi Slimane.
Tickets for Dark Crystal go on sale Thursday, April 10, at 9am AEST.
