NERIAH shares ‘Reason To Hate You’, a six track EP plus ‘Gone Girl’, with a personal artist statement and viral fan moments.

Rising independent pop artist NERIAH steps into a new era with her latest studio project, the EP ‘Reason To Hate You’. This collection explores the quiet aftermath that followed the emotional breaking point reached on her 24 track debut album ‘Cause of Death’. The new chapter looks inward, addressing the lingering effects of past relationships while beginning the long process of rediscovering self love.

The EP consists of six new tracks and includes her viral hit ‘Gone Girl’. Earlier this year, that song gained major support, earning over 600K streams, more than 46 global editorial playlist placements, and placing NERIAH on the cover of Spotify’s Young & Free playlist. Across the new material, she pairs intimate vocals and vulnerable ballads with writing that favors direct, unfiltered truth. At the same time, she continues to weave viral hooks into each song, returning with striking, cathartic pop anthems that reflect a reclaiming of narrative and confidence.

NERIAH offers a detailed artist statement about where this release begins and what it means in the wake of her first album:
“My debut album, ‘Cause of Death’, was the breaking point. 24 tracks that buried the version of me who stayed too long, loved too hard, and forgot my worth. It was a goodbye to the girl who thought pain was proof of love. A full-circle moment where she finally said, “I’m done letting people treat me like this”. But walking away is only the beginning. The EP picks up in the silence after. When the relationship is over, but the damage lingers.

This project isn’t about the breakup, it’s about the pieces it left behind. It’s the hard part: looking in the mirror and realizing how much of yourself you lost trying to keep someone else. It’s about confronting the internal wreckage, the ways you turned against yourself, and the long road back to self-love.

It’s about the kind of sadness that lingers after the crying stops. Emotional exhaustion, quiet reflection, and the bittersweet process of healing. It holds tenderness, vulnerability, and nostalgia all at once. You’re not angry anymore, just processing. You’ve been through it, and now you’re sitting with the after-feelings. There’s still love, but it’s softer now – maybe more for yourself than for them. Everything feels like a memory – worn-in, faded, but meaningful.”

The EP also features the highly anticipated ‘Good Enough’, which went hyper viral online, receiving 300 UGCs on TikTok within 48 hours of the first teaser and millions of views. It deeply resonated with thousands of fans on Daniel Seavy’s UK & EU tour, where a beautiful fan project in Amsterdam brought hand made heart signs reminding NERIAH she would always be good enough.
