Nao has returned with “Happy People,” the latest single from her forthcoming album, Jupiter, which is set to release on February 21 via Sony Music UK/RCA Records. The track’s infectious energy and uplifting message offer a bright preview of what’s to come from her fourth studio album.
Co-written by Nao alongside Stint, Yakob, Lauren Keen, and Kareem James, and produced by Stint and Yakob, “Happy People” combines textured backing vocals, vibrant guitar riffs, and an irresistible rhythm with Nao’s unmistakable voice. Speaking about the track, Nao says: “‘Happy People’ is about finding peace, joy and purpose in meaningful connections with those who truly care. It celebrates the strength of relationships and friendships.”
“Happy People” arrives as Nao gears up for her North American, UK, and European Tour starting this February. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the album, which she teased with several standout tracks in 2024, including “All of Me,” “Elevate,” and “Wildflowers.”
Each of these songs reflects a different facet of Jupiter. From the tender balladry of “Wildflowers,” recorded at Abbey Road Studios, to the euphoric guitar solo in “Elevate,” Nao has been delivering a rich, multi-dimensional sound. The visual direction for the project, developed by Lillie Eiger and SpaceBroth, further enhances the album’s cohesive storytelling.
