This behind-the-scenes feature dives into the making of the “Make My Wish Come True Edition” video, providing fans with an exclusive look at the artistry behind the timeless Christmas song.
Directed by Joseph Kahn, the video pays homage to Busby Berkeley’s glamorous musical sequences from Hollywood’s golden age. Mariah Carey shares candid reflections about the challenges of blending into the elaborate choreography, noting that dancing isn’t her forte. The intricate Busby Berkeley-inspired segment, with dancers moving on platforms behind Carey, required hours of filming and multiple camera passes to achieve its dazzling effect.
