Mae Martin drops two new songs and acoustic versions in deluxe “I’m A TV edition”, arriving June 20.

Mae Martin is back with I’m A TV: Welcome Distraction Edition, a deluxe reissue of their acclaimed debut album, arriving June 20. The new edition expands the original project with two unreleased songs and acoustic renditions of fan favorites, inviting listeners into a more vulnerable, stripped-back version of Mae’s creative universe.

Produced by Jason Crouse and Wes Marskell of The Darcys, and written entirely by Mae, the album presents a sonic journey of nostalgia, radical truth-telling, and personal evolution. Known widely for their work in comedy and television, Mae’s pivot to music has drawn praise for its sincerity and artistic depth.

Described as “equal parts vulnerable and cinematic,” the deluxe project further explores themes of identity, longing, and the bittersweet nature of growing up—even when it feels overdue.

“A chronic oversharer,” Mae applies the same emotional candor to songwriting that fans have come to love in their comedy. “But here, there’s no pressure to land a punchline, only space to tell the truth.”

To celebrate the release, Mae will perform a series of intimate shows in the Pacific Northwest. The tour kicks off June 10 in San Francisco, with additional stops in Portland (June 12) and Vancouver (June 13), featuring music from I’m A TV and debut performances of the new tracks.
