Lil Wayne drops “Tha Carter VI”, featuring Bono, Jelly Roll, Kodak Black, and more.
Lil Wayne has officially dropped his long-awaited 14th studio album, Tha Carter VI, via Young Money Entertainment/Republic Records. With 19 tracks and an expansive list of collaborators, the release adds a new chapter to the legendary Tha Carter series and marks a defining moment in his decades-long career.
The album features contributions from a diverse group of artists, including Andrea Bocelli, Bono, Jelly Roll, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, MGK, Wyclef Jean, Kodak Black, and Wayne’s sons, Kameron Carter and Lil Novi. Production credits include Wayne himself along with Lin-Manuel Miranda, Wyclef Jean, and others.
Reflecting on the release, Wayne shared: “Real art can’t be rushed — and y’all know I ain’t never been on nobody’s clock but mine. Been silent but not still. To the fans who’ve been waiting, I love you. This album is for the ones who’ve been riding with me through all Tha Carters. We takin’ it further than ever before with this one. Tunechi back. C6 is here. I’m just bein myself. Sorry for the wait.”
The album rollout began in spectacular fashion during Game 2 of the 2025 NBA Finals, where “The Days” featuring Bono was featured across promotional spots and will continue airing through the remainder of the series.
To mark the occasion, Wayne headlines Madison Square Garden tonight, June 6, for the first time in his career. The show offers fans a live introduction to the album’s tracks, setting the tone for what’s next.
Following the release, Lil Wayne will embark on the Tha Carter VI tour. Kicking off across North America, the tour includes appearances by Tyga and Belly Gang Kushington on all dates, with NoCap joining select stops.
