Laura Pieri returns with “Daughter of Demeter (ON THE DANCEFLOOR),” a hypnotic remix full of emotional elegance.
Brazilian-born pop visionary Laura Pieri has returned with a reinvented version of her bold 2024 release. “Daughter of Demeter (ON THE DANCEFLOOR)” takes the emotional intensity of the original track and reshapes it into a sleek, groove-laced remix. The track will appear on her forthcoming expanded project, Frankie (ON THE DANCEFLOOR), which arrives later this summer and includes another reinterpretation, “Sea of Tragedy (ON THE DANCEFLOOR).”
While the original version exploded with passion and rage, the remix trades explosive release for seductive control. As Pieri describes: “This remix is what happens when that fire simmers into something slower, sharper, and slyer… It’s rage on vacation.”
Laura Pieri’s transformation of the track speaks to the broader message embedded in her Frankie project — a reclaiming of identity and power. With “Daughter of Demeter (ON THE DANCEFLOOR),” she taps into a sense of emotional liberation through rhythm.
“It made me rethink how we process and present emotion, especially feminine emotion,” Pieri shares. “Sometimes healing looks like dancing. Sometimes grief shows up in a slow sway.”
Splitting her time between New York and Los Angeles, while balancing an MBA program, Pieri embodies both grit and glamour. Her roots in São Paulo influence her sound, blending infectious Brazilian rhythms with polished pop production.
The new release hints at more reinvention to come, offering listeners a chance to experience emotional release through movement. Pieri continues to forge a path that’s as personal as it is powerful — redefining pop on her own terms.
