Kyra Machida releases “Handsy”, a playful pop track with a burlesque-themed visualizer now out via RCA.

Kyra Machida has unveiled her newest single “Handsy” through Sound Factory Records, RECORDS, and RCA Records, marking a fun and flirtatious turn in her ever-evolving musical journey. The single is a lighthearted and confident blend of pop and dance, matched by a visualizer that sets the tone for this new chapter.

“Handsy” is driven by upbeat production and catchy melodies, revealing a side of Kyra that is bold, spirited, and entirely unfiltered. In the visual, she performs solo in a burlesque-inspired club scene, embodying the character she and her producer envisioned while crafting the song.

Kyra explains:
“We wrote ‘Handsy’ right after I got back from London, which really inspired the bold, fun, totally unattached character you see in the visualizer. There’s something luring about her — kind of like a spell — and we wanted the production to reflect that energy: playful, quirky, a little sexy, but never too serious. My producer and I were both deep into Gwen Stefani, and Fergie at the time, totally by coincidence, and I think that’s what inspired the playfulness of the song. The whole point was to build this world that she could pull you into and I’m so excited about the visualizer because I think it really brings that story to life.”

Following earlier singles like “DNA” and the trio “Speed,” “Shibuya,” and “Connect”, “Handsy” builds on Kyra’s distinct style—future-pop with dynamic electronic edges and theatrical flair.

Originally from Japan and now working out of Los Angeles, Kyra continues to merge her global influences and bold visual storytelling, creating a sonic identity that is as fearless as it is fun.
