East London’s kwn makes a powerful return with her commanding new single “do what i say,” out now. A self-produced bedroom creation turned bold R&B moment, the track showcases kwn’s sensual style and fearless pen.
Set over seductive production, kwn delivers bold and direct lines that highlight her take-charge confidence: “Paint your nails, the way I like them,” she sings. “Say my name. Hold me down.” It’s a track that combines sleek, intimate vibes with lyrical empowerment — all anchored by her smooth, captivating vocals.
“I wasn’t feeling very creative at the time,” kwn shares about the process. “I just tried to see what clicked. When I sped the song up from its original pace, I realized it was way better. It’s me having fun with my pen, seeing how cheeky I could get.” 
Her upward trajectory continues to take shape. Named Billboard’s “Rookie of the Month” in March, kwn has captured the attention of industry tastemakers and fans alike. She recently collaborated with Kehlani on the remix of her viral hit “worst behaviour,” whose steamy music video amassed over 7 million views. The pair previously teamed up on Kehlani’s “Clothes Off,” and kwn supported her on the European leg of the Crash World Tour.
