KI/KI and Marlon Hoffstadt drop ‘Losing Control’ via Capitol and MC3, first collab, Dour announcement and Zeebrugge B2B set.

Two of electronic music’s most in demand DJ, producers have finally joined forces. KI/KI and Marlon Hoffstadt, also known as DJ Daddy Trance, issue their first ever collaboration with ‘Losing Control’, out today through Capitol Records in partnership with MC3. The pair revealed the single at Dour Festival in Belgium last month, then kept anticipation high until release day.

Written and produced by both artists, ‘Losing Control’ locks into the pure rush of giving yourself over to the music. The track is positioned as a celebration of blissful surrender, the kind of peak energy moment that fits both of their dancefloor identities.

“I remember playing Marlon’s tunes in my sets before we met and me thinking ‘who is this guy?’” recalls KI/KI. “His tracks just hit differently. After we met for the first time, I pictured us making a track together where our sounds would merge – powerful, crazy but still emotional. Our first studio session followed soon after and everything fell into place. I’m incredibly thankful to share such an epic journey together and, most importantly, SO READY TO LOSE CONTROL.”

Marlon Hoffstadt added, “Even before I knew KI/KI, I wanted to make music with her. She has always been an inspiration to me and I knew it would slap if we got in the studio together. Seeing ‘Losing Control’ unfold makes me so happy. It’s the best of both our worlds: raw, fast, emotional. And crowds just lose it every single time.

This Sunday, August 10, the duo will share the decks for the first time, playing an extended five hour B2B at Zeebrugge Beach on the North Sea in Belgium for 20,000 people. Tickets sold out within minutes. See below for artist itineraries.

The release also arrives with context around KI/KI’s rise. From acid techno’s shadowy corners to trance’s euphoria, from the queer underground to major festivals, the Amsterdam talent has built a singular path. Selling out 20,000 capacity shows, serving as a Spotify Global Equal Ambassador, gracing DJ Mag’s cover during Amsterdam Dance Event, and becoming the first woman to win the Dutch Edisons Pop Award are among the highlights. Her ‘5 HOURS NYC’ sold out in 30 seconds, while a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and a headline b2b with Job Jobse at Lowlands underline her reach across both underground and mainstage circuits.
