Kevian Kraemer releases “Forever,” a heartfelt new track written just before a relationship ended.
Indie-pop newcomer Kevian Kraemer delivers an emotionally resonant single with “Forever,” out now via Atlantic Records. Written shortly before the end of a long-term relationship, the track unpacks the emotions he never spoke aloud—raw, honest, and drenched in heartbreak.
The accompanying video, filmed on Rockaway Beach in New York, visually complements the song’s introspective tone. Speaking about the song’s creation, Kraemer says: “I wrote this song a month before my relationship of a year and a half ended because I felt it dying but I didn’t know who to tell.”
He adds: “We’ve seen each other change throughout those years… I didn’t actually like who she turned into, or maybe she was really that way all along I don’t know. The lyrics in this song are the words that I never told her but I wish she heard.”
Produced by SameSame (Blake Mares & Rob Cohen), whose credits include work with Cage the Elephant, Young the Giant, and Rihanna, the single pairs rich indie textures with heartfelt lyrics.
“Forever” follows recent single “Don’t You Dare,” which found viral momentum through Kraemer’s active social media presence. It also builds on a breakout year that saw the release of Seventeen, his debut EP featuring the streaming hit “Attention”—now over 10 million streams strong.
With emotional depth and a distinctive voice, Kraemer is emerging as one of indie pop’s most authentic new storytellers.
