KATSEYE unveil “Gabriela,” their vibrant second single from upcoming EP ‘Beautiful Chaos‘, out June 27.
Rising global girl group KATSEYE returns with “Gabriela,” a vibrant bilingual pop track that builds anticipation for their upcoming debut EP Beautiful Chaos, releasing June 27 via HYBE x Geffen Records. The song brings a rhythmic twist to classic themes of warning and heartbreak—evoking a modern-day “Jolene” energy, tailored for the Gen Z audience.
Produced by Andrew Watt and John Ryan, whose credits include Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter, “Gabriela” features the group’s first Spanish-language verse, passionately delivered by Daniela, a first-generation Latina American.
The music video pays homage to the iconic world of telenovelas, starring Jessica Alba as the CEO of Gabriela Enterprises. The fictional boardroom drama unfolds with each KATSEYE member vying to take control. Directed by Andrew Thomas Huang, the video debuted on MTV Live, MTVU, and Paramount’s Times Square billboards.
“Our music video for ‘Gabriela’ is vibrant, colorful, dramatic, and full of heart,” says KATSEYE. “We leaned into the world of telenovelas because they’re iconic and over-the-top in the best possible way… It’s all love, all homage, and definitely all drama!”
The multicultural group includes Daniela (Cuban/Venezuelan-American), Lara (Indian), Manon (Ghanaian-Italian), Megan (Chinese-American), Sophia (Filipina), and Yoonchae (South Korean).
Following the success of their high-energy debut “Gnarly,” which has crossed 100 million streams, “Gabriela” pushes their dynamic sonic range further. With two remixes of “Gnarly” also earning playlist love from Rolling Stone and Billboard, KATSEYE is rapidly establishing itself as a boundary-breaking global act.
