Co-directed by Julia alongside Tanner Barry, the music video captures the volatile emotional tone of the track—depicting a chaotic night out that mirrors the unraveling feelings described in the lyrics.
Driven by punchy production and an urgent sense of vulnerability, “Loser” reflects Julia’s signature blend of sharp storytelling and bold sonic energy. This new track follows the growing momentum from her breakout hit “In My Room,” which launched her onto the #1 spot on the US Viral Chart and has amassed over 23 million streams to date. A recent remix of the track by UK DJ and producer Badger continues to extend its global reach.
Julia explains the raw emotions behind the new song: “‘Loser’ is probably one of the most honest songs I’ve written. It’s about how dark your mind can get when you’re in love with someone you don’t feel good enough for. I talk about ‘chugging NyQuil’ because that’s how low my self-worth felt at the time. It’s the pure struggle of obsession and devotion – constantly overthinking, terrified one wrong move will make them leave. That’s why there are all those unsent texts in the notes app – it’s all the things I couldn’t say out loud.”
