Josiah Queen returns with Yesterday Is Dead, a high-energy anthem of renewal and faith. Listen now via Capitol Records/CCMG.

Rising star Josiah Queen follows up his breakout hit Can’t Steal My Joy with Yesterday Is Dead, a raw and powerful anthem celebrating renewal, redemption, and fresh starts. The track, out now via Capitol Records/Capitol Christian Music Group (CCMG), blends Queen’s signature acoustic-driven sound with a vibrant, uplifting message.

The Tampa-born singer-songwriter co-wrote Yesterday Is Dead with producer John Michael Howell. The song’s soaring chorus drives home its theme of moving forward: “I keep my eyes / On what lies ahead / Today is a new day / Yesterday is dead.”

Queen shares, “‘Yesterday Is Dead feels like a weight being lifted off of my back. This song is about the freedom and new life I have found in Jesus. It was written in a moment of release from past regrets, and I hope it brings that same hope to others.’”

Queen’s global rise continues with the U.S. leg of his 2025 headline tour, which kicks off March 26 in Cincinnati. After selling out his first-ever headline tour in 2024, demand for his live performances remains strong.
