Josiah Queen’s ‘Mt. Zion ‘blends faith, energy, and heart | A bold next step with powerful collaborations
Josiah Queen marks a major moment in his career with the release of Mt. Zion, his first full-length album under Capitol Records/Capitol Christian Music Group. The 22-year-old singer-songwriter from Tampa brings his distinctive blend of conviction, honesty, and joy to a project that’s already generating widespread impact.
Leading into the release, Queen built anticipation with a series of singles, including “I’ll Fly Away” featuring Benjamin William Hastings, which reached the top 5 on the iTunes Top Songs chart, and “Dusty Bibles”, which appeared across six Billboard charts and landed on Spotify’s Viral 50 in 18 countries.
Mt. Zion follows his chart-topping independent debut, The Prodigal, and reflects a growing artist stepping into his sound with confidence. Collaborations on the album include Brandon Lake on “Can’t Steal My Joy” and Gable Price on “Thief In The Night”, with production support from Jared Marc, John Michael Howell, Zac Lawson, Jacob Sooter, and Hank Bentley.
The album’s lead track, “Yesterday Is Dead,” was recently performed live on Fox & Friends Weekend, and today, Queen shared the official music video for “Watch Your Mouth”, filmed in Zion National Park with director Rashun Ludgood. The energetic song is a rallying cry to embrace grace and let go of shame. Queen wrote the track with his brother Elijah Queen, along with Jared Marc and Romeo Barela.
“These songs come from a heart of wanting to be in God’s presence,” says Josiah. “Mt. Zion represents a place of God’s presence and glory… a place where we can enter His presence.”
With sold-out shows, charting singles, and a message of hope, Mt. Zion sets Josiah Queen on a bold new path.
