Jordan Firstman releases “Secrets” via Capitol Records—satirical, emotional, and full of surprises from across genres.

Capitol Records has just released Secrets, the strikingly original debut album from Jordan Firstman. Known for his viral online comedy and acting roles, Firstman takes a bold step into music with a genre-bending record that’s as hilarious as it is heartfelt. Featuring high-profile collaborations with Julia Fox, Rufus Wainwright, Rachel Sennott, Suki Waterhouse, LAUNDRY DAY, and Jimmy Pop (Bloodhound Gang), Secrets even includes a guest spot from Firstman’s mother.

The album’s centerpiece visual arrives with the video for “I’m quitting my job tomorri,” an emotionally loaded UK garage-inspired track. With lyrical depth and playful delivery, the song offers a snapshot of a relationship on the brink—its title deliberately misspelled, as are others on the project. Each track was sparked by secrets sent in anonymously by fans, a process Firstman began on Instagram during the pandemic.

He’s been collecting “deepest, darkest, and dirtiest” DMs from followers since 2020, turning them into music or commentary. Secrets reflects this wide emotional range, combining sounds from jazz to R&B to funk-rock. Collaborating with Brad Oberhofer, Blake Slatkin, Zach Dawes, and Sega Bodega, Firstman crafted songs shaped directly by the user-submitted titles.

Already celebrated for his Impressions series and viral humor, Firstman’s leap into music highlights a deeper artistry. His previous musical forays include a Laura Dern tribute performed at the Independent Spirit Awards and a darkly comic funeral playlist for THE FACE.

With nearly a million followers and fans like Katy Perry and Chrissy Teigen, Firstman now proves he’s more than a viral star—he’s a full-fledged artist.
