“Stereo” by Jax Jones ft. Emei blends Euro club nostalgia and Y2K energy in a chart-ready club banger.
Jax Jones continues pushing the limits of his Y2J! era with his latest single, “Stereo,” featuring alt-pop talent Emei. Released via Astralwerks, “Stereo” is a club-ready celebration of high-gloss nostalgia and electric collaboration, marking another exciting chapter in Jax’s evolution.
“Stereo” joins a strong line-up of recent singles, including “Bad Boys” featuring Rebecca Black and sooyeon, “Back in My Bed” with MEYY, and the Ado collab “Stay Gold” created for Beyblade X. The latest track thrives on retro dancefloor energy, layered with Emei’s commanding vocals and Jax’s signature thumping production.
“I’ve always been such a fan of Jax! So, when I heard Stereo for the first time I was so excited to be a part of such a banger of a song. The track feels nostalgic and timeless and I’ve been jamming out to this one for months now and I can’t wait to finally show everyone what we made together,” shares Emei.
To mark the release, Jax and Emei performed “Stereo” for the first time from London’s View from The Shard, setting a world record for the Highest Single Release.
Rooted in personal growth, global exploration, and cultural identity, Jax’s Y2J! vision draws heavily on his childhood summers in Penang and the musical tastes of his Nigerian stepfather. This era fuses early 2000s Euro club vibes with Southeast Asia’s underground electronic pulse — blending festival euphoria with street-level authenticity.
