“Speechless” is a track born from reflection, transformation, and urgency. Jakub, who spent 12 years living in the Middle East, describes that period of his life as structured and full of opportunity, yet riddled with limitations as a queer person. “I was part of a place that never fully saw me. I couldn’t live my truth out loud,” he says. It wasn’t until a trip to London that something within him shifted. He describes the visit as a breath of freedom — a moment that redefined his sense of self and set the foundation for what would become his debut as a singer-songwriter.
The title, “Speechless,” carries heavy emotional weight for Jakub. “That was when I saw how my life had been shaped by silence. I was speechless. And now I’m ready to speak,” he reveals. The song grew from that realization — a moment of clarity that inspired a farewell photoshoot and ultimately a creative outpouring that could not be silenced.
