Pop duo Jake & Shelby continue to shine with the release of their energetic new single, “You Don’t Know,” delivering a vivid reflection of the nervous, consuming feelings tied to a crush. Built on upbeat synths and lively drums, the track feels tailor-made for summer playlists, soundtracking sunlit drives and romantic daydreams.
“‘You Don’t Know’ is about something we’ve all had… A crush,” the duo explains. “When we were writing this song we were thinking about how we feel so awkward at times around our crush and how it can be so consuming. It feels like all you can do is think about that person. But the funny part is that they don’t even know.”
Ditching their usual guitar-first approach, the track began with a rhythm-heavy structure, creating a poppier sonic profile while retaining their signature acoustic feel. “For production, we typically start with a guitar idea, but for this track, we built it around synths and drums before blending in our signature acoustic sound – it was really exciting and fun to make something more pop-leaning!” 
“You Don’t Know” follows their earlier 2025 release “Loophole,” a track that navigates emotional defenses and trust issues, further displaying the pair’s gift for marrying catchy melodies with lyrical vulnerability.
