Jade Bird unveils “Nobody,” a stirring preview of her upcoming album Who Wants To Talk About Love?

UK-born, LA-based singer-songwriter Jade Bird unveils her powerful new single, “Nobody,” the fourth track to surface from her upcoming album Who Wants To Talk About Love?, due July 18 via Glassnote Records.

The track blends Bird’s signature emotional depth with a sweeping chorus and heartfelt lyricism. Written by Jade and produced by Andrew Wells (Phoebe Bridgers, Teddy Swims), “Nobody” reveals a raw portrait of someone clinging to a love that’s slipping away. “Knowing your relationship is in tatters but being unable to admit defeat,” Jade shares, “because you feel that there’s no one who is better than that person despite it being so bad.”

Jade’s storytelling is once again front and center. “Nobody” follows previous releases “Who Wants,” “Dreams,” and “Avalanche,” all building toward what promises to be Bird’s most personal and cathartic record yet. With production support from industry veterans including Andrew Sarlo (Bon Iver, Big Thief) and Greg Kurstin (Adele), the album explores generational trauma, the end of an engagement, and the complexities of forgiveness.

“I wrote this album while trying to make sense of the broken relationships in my family,” says Jade. “It’s as much a question as an answer, wondering if I could break the cycle while finding my own path to forgiveness.”

Bird’s journey from her 2019 debut to today has taken her from indie-folk darling to genre-defying songwriter. Nobody reinforces Jade Bird’s unmatched ability to turn deeply personal reflections into universally resonant anthems.
