Ingrid Andress releases “Catch 22,” her latest single marking a bold new chapter after personal growth.

Ingrid Andress is ushering in a new chapter of music and personal growth with the release of her latest single, “Catch 22.” The track follows her recent offering “Footprints” and marks her first release since the acclaimed 2022 album Good Person.

With “Catch 22,” Andress strips things back to focus on storytelling. The acoustic-driven production offers a delicate canvas for her emotionally resonant vocals.

Lyrically, the song cleverly plays with the idea of a “catch 22” to describe being caught in a relationship with someone stuck in a state of arrested development—chasing the illusion of staying young and never growing up.

In Andress’ own words: ’Catch 22’ is a song about trying to grow in a relationship that you’ve already outgrown. Love is not for the faint of heart, especially when it’s up to you to leave it behind. The song takes place in a relationship because it’s commonly the place we see it happen the most. At one point or another, we’ve all found ourselves in relationships where we love and care for someone that no longer fits. We stay and hope they will change because who doesn’t want someone to love and be loved by? And it’s never really ‘that bad.’ Until one day you wake up and want a beautiful life that’s much more than not ‘that bad’ and the only person who can change that is you

Ingrid is back after a whirlwind year including a National Anthem performance that led to an experience in rehab and profoundly altered her perspective on her career, empowering her to return to music stronger than ever.

She decided to take the comeback head-on, singing ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ once again at a recent Colorado Avalanche game in her home state, earning praise and respect for overcoming her demons.

Catch 22’ and ‘Footprints’ are the first songs that have emerged as Ingrid continues work on a larger scale project. Her current songwriting inspiration comes from the growth that has come with her recent experiences: the learning and confidence that comes after facing her struggles and emerging from it all the better.
