“Super Love Me” is the final single before Grace Davies’ debut album “The Wrong Side of 25”, out July 11.
Grace Davies returns with another deeply emotional—and deeply catchy—single, “Super Love Me,” out now and serving as the final track before the arrival of her debut album, The Wrong Side of 25, releasing July 11.
Following her breakout with “MDE,” which earned a Spotify New Pop UK cover and acclaim from The Independent, Grace builds on her momentum with “Super Love Me,” a shimmering heartbreak anthem that’s equal parts bittersweet and dancefloor-ready.
“Sometimes I have to remind myself of what this song is about, because I just want to boogie round my bedroom,” says Grace. “But really—it is a classic Grace sad girl anthem.”
Co-written with Nick Bradley, James New, and Paul Whalley, and co-produced by Grace and Whalley, “Super Love Me” delivers a potent blend of pop polish and emotional storytelling. From its ABBA-tinged bassline to its lyrical sting—“Why d’ya have to make it like you super loved me / If you’re only gonna go and super let me down?”—the song is classic Davies: honest, vulnerable, and brilliantly written.
The single draws inspiration from a fleeting 2020 “covid bubble” romance that disappeared as quickly as it began:
“He lived in my flat for weeks with me… then one day he woke up, left the flat and I never heard from him again… Feel like you’ve missed a chapter? Yeah, me too.”
Grace performs live at Silverstone on July 4 at the F1 British Grand Prix, supporting RAYE. Her debut album promises more fearless songwriting and emotional resonance.
