“Facelift” sees Gold Fang team up with hitmaker 1st Klase for a bold new single shaped by identity and reflection.
Gold Fang returns in full force with his new single “Facelift” featuring 1st Klase, a track that pairs infectious Caribbean rhythm with raw lyrical truth. The Sydney-based artist and his Trinidadian collaborator craft a bold narrative of self-assurance, reflection, and reclaiming space in the industry.
Created during a UK writing trip with J.Ar.J, “Facelift” reflects on the challenges of navigating criticism and staying grounded while carving your own lane. Gold Fang shares, “Everything is a uphill battle in this industry… We all human and make mistakes. That don’t mean we shouldn’t have we fair slice of the cake to.”
The track’s textured soundscape is elevated by 1st Klase’s signature production, steeped in dancehall and rooted in Trinidadian influence. A powerful video directed by Rael Luvi (R93 Films) brings that vision to life, filmed on location in Trinidad with backing from Music Australia.
Following the acclaim of SMOOVE KILLA, Gold Fang’s genre-fluid sound has drawn support from outlets like triple j, Sniffers, NME, and Acclaim, with his live shows earning him a place on top-tier festival stages and support slots for Lil Nas X and J Balvin. “Facelift” affirms his place as a bold new voice in modern Caribbean music.
