GloRilla’s new video “Typa” stars Keyshia Cole and Xavier Legette in a bold tale of love and loyalty.
GloRilla returns with her signature flair and fierce storytelling in the striking visual for her latest single “Typa.” Directed by the legendary Benny Boom, the video draws viewers into a cinematic world that intertwines themes of passion, resilience, and ride-or-die romance.
The visual co-stars R&B legend Keyshia Cole and rising NFL player Xavier Legette, enhancing the narrative with compelling on-screen performances. Cole’s presence bridges generations of music, as GloRilla’s “Typa” samples Keyshia’s 2005 classic “Love.” Over the iconic melody, Glo delivers razor-sharp verses that echo the intensity of modern love.
In the video, Legette portrays Glo’s loyal partner. From intimate moments to dramatic turns—including an arrest that tests their loyalty—his role adds a raw edge to the unfolding story. At the same time, Cole acts as a mentor-like figure, offering perspective and advice to Glo in key emotional moments.
The release of “Typa” caps off a monumental run for GloRilla. Her debut album GLORIOUS, released in 2024, landed at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and produced standout tracks like “TGIF,” “I LUV HER” featuring T-Pain, and “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME” with Sexyy Red. It also became the year’s top-selling female rap album, marking the highest debut week for a woman in rap that year.
Following a fiery string of collaborations in 2025 with artists like Lil Baby, GELO, and Teddy Swims, GloRilla also wrapped a 21-city tour and rocked stages at Coachella and Dreamville Fest.
With performances booked at the 2025 BET Awards, Summer Jam, and ESSENCE Festival, and her first Glo Bash set in Memphis, GloRilla is firmly in her prime.
Earlier this year, she received Billboard’s Powerhouse Award, solidifying her status as a commanding force in hip-hop.
