FINNEAS and Ashe launch The Favors with their debut single and upcoming LP ‘The Dream’, out Sept 19.

FINNEAS and Ashe have formed a new musical duo called The Favors and released their first single, “The Little Mess You Made,” accompanied by a music video directed by Scott Cudmore. The track is the first preview from their debut album, The Dream, arriving September 19 via Darkroom Records.

Best known for their previous collaborations “Moral of the Story” and “Till Forever Falls Apart,” the longtime friends now take a deeper creative plunge as a unified act. The new single introduces a vintage sound rooted in Laurel Canyon inspiration, drawing on textured percussion, analog warmth, and vocal harmonies that feel both nostalgic and fresh.

“This is the way every artist dreams of making an album,” says Ashe. “People don’t sing together anymore when they’re recording, but it was so romantic and fun.” FINNEAS elaborates, “It’s a true ‘long-play album’ in its real intended meaning. Hopefully, you can have friends over, cook a meal, and play this on vinyl front-to-back.” Ashe adds, “I want you to feel simultaneously warm, fuzzy, and heartbroken at the same time.”

The Favors recorded The Dream across Nashville and Los Angeles, with sonic inspiration echoing icons like Fleetwood Mac, Carole King, and Simon & Garfunkel. The project promises an era-spanning approach, with songs suited for smoky bars or festival stages alike.
