San Diego’s genre-bending artist EthanUno returns with his latest single, “EL CAPARAZÓN,” out now via Friends Keep Secrets / Interscope. Layered with infectious rhythms and heartfelt lyricism, the track carries a vibrant pulse that encourages listeners to let go of emotional armor and re-enter life with confidence.
Musically, “EL CAPARAZÓN” draws from a wide spectrum—its upbeat fusion of electro-rap, Latin guitar, and dance-punk bass lines builds a groove that spans cultures and moods. The track’s sonic complexity is balanced by its intimate, lyrical focus: “Sé que la vida te ha jodido el corazón / Ya no crees en los cuentos de hadas del amor / Y tus dudas tienen sentido, pero cuando estás conmigo / Baby, puedes quitarte el caparazón.”
Translated: “I know life has messed up your heart / You don’t believe in fairy tales of love anymore / And your doubts make sense, but when you’re with me / Baby, you can come out of your shell.” 
The single’s playful and emotionally charged energy is echoed in the story behind its creation. “I ate carne asada tacos and was listening to a bunch of merengue before hitting this studio,” EthanUno explains. “So by the time I loaded up a new project file, it felt like ‘EL CAPARAZÓN’ just flew out of me.”
