Alt-pop artist Empara Mi unveils “On Call For You,” her latest chapter from “Monsters & Masochists”.
Empara Mi returns with “On Call For You,” a darkly seductive single and the third chapter in her conceptual project Monsters & Masochists. Out now and entirely self-produced and self-written, the song captures the haunting tension between desire and danger.
Drawing comparisons to her fan-favorite “Ditch,” this latest release is an evolution in sound and sentiment. “I’ve always played the revenge girlie,” Empara Mi says. “But lately, I’ve found there to be something sickly fascinating about the idea of obsession… it’s kind of beautiful and terrifying.”
Rich in texture and cinematic scope, “On Call For You” weaves together baroque-inspired production and sensual pop hooks. The accompanying music video—part of a visually immersive series—channels the decadence of Ancient Roman luxury, matching the song’s intoxicating tone.
The track is a standout in a chaptered album that has already accumulated over 1.4 million views on YouTube and earned praise for its cohesive aesthetic and experimental ambition.
“I also love that this is the type of song people would assume I hadn’t written and produced by myself,” Empara notes. “It makes it fun for me that I had no one’s eyes on it… This is also a side to my production I haven’t fully explored yet.”
With each release, Empara Mi further asserts her position as a boundary-breaking artist redefining the pop experience on her own terms.
