Doja Cat unveils bold new sound with ‘Jealous Type’ | A dynamic preview of her next chapter on ‘Vie’
Doja Cat is back with a fiery new single, ‘Jealous Type’, released today via Kemosabe Records and RCA Records. The track marks the first taste of her highly anticipated fifth studio album, Vie, due out September 26. With crisp production from Jack Antonoff and Y2K, ‘Jealous Type’ arrives alongside a stunning music video directed by Boni Mata and filmed in Los Angeles.
The new single blends Doja Cat’s signature lyrical bite with slick, polished sonics, offering a glimpse into the evolving soundscape of Vie. First teased during her Summer ’25 campaign with Marc Jacobs, the track now gets a full spotlight, embodying confidence and creative reinvention.
In addition to the single, Doja Cat revealed the Ma Vie World Tour, her first-ever tour across New Zealand, Australia, and Asia. The global run kicks off November 18 in Auckland, followed by stops in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Tokyo, Manila, and more, wrapping on December 21 in Kaohsiung. 
VIP experiences will be available throughout the tour, offering exclusive merch, early entry, and premium access for fans across markets. Tickets begin rolling out with presales on August 25 in New Zealand and Australia, with other Asia markets following suit.
The release of ‘Jealous Type’ follows her surprise debut performance of the song at the 2025 Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco, where she captivated fans with an electrifying set. Later that night, a select audience was treated to an intimate album listening party at the city’s iconic drag venue, Oasis.
