Dean Lewis drops new single and announces “The Epilogue (Deluxe)”, out July 11 with five new tracks.
Chart-topping artist Dean Lewis has revealed plans for a deluxe edition of his hit album The Epilogue, set for release on Friday, July 11. The announcement comes with the surprise drop of a new single, “I Hate That It’s True,” which Lewis fast-tracked for inclusion on the expanded project.
“Usually when I write a song it takes about a year before it can come out,” Dean says. “I wrote ‘I Hate That It’s True’ about 10 weeks ago at an Airbnb in Bondi Beach. The day I wrote it we spent 48 hours finishing the production, rushing it over to my team and adding it onto my deluxe album. For me the song is a hint at what is to come on my next album; in the sense of where I’m headed with my songwriting and the more acoustic raw production.”
The deluxe album will feature five new tracks, including the viral hit “With You.” The song has already achieved over 62 million global streams, 260K TikTok creations, and 11 million OMV views, with playlist support from Hot Hits Australia, Apple Music’s Today’s Hits, and airtime on MTV globally.
“With You” also scored airplay on the KIIS Network and NOVA, charting at #22 on AU’s Top 100 Radio and #16 on Shazam AU, reaching the Top 50 globally. A duet version with Sofia Camara—synced on Married at First Sight Australia—has given the song another wave of momentum.
Fans can also expect a cover of Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris” on The Epilogue (Deluxe). The release will be available on all DSPs and as a limited edition 2LP vinyl.
