Daniel Seavey drops “Blame It On You”, expanding his debut solo album ‘Second Wind ‘with new energy.

Daniel Seavey returns with a compelling new single, “Blame It On You,” released via Atlantic Records. The track builds on the foundation of his debut solo album Second Wind, reinforcing the emotional and musical themes that define his creative journey.

This new chapter follows the momentum of “Eden,” another recent release from the same project. With chart-topping producer Michael Pollack as executive producer, Seavey fuses early-2000s pop-rock nostalgia with modern songwriting sensibilities. The result is a sound that feels both timeless and forward-thinking, marked by introspection, hope, and full artistic autonomy.

Second Wind has been a multi-year effort, one that allowed Seavey to develop his solo identity outside of his past group work. The single continues this narrative with fresh energy and creative depth.

Following a successful spring run that included sold-out performances at The Novo in Los Angeles and Irving Plaza in New York City, Seavey resumes his global Second Wind Tour this weekend with performances in Australia and New Zealand. European dates are also scheduled for November.

2025 marks a period of transformation for Seavey. As he channels the sound and emotion of early-aughts pop-rock through a contemporary lens, his approach becomes more personal. He’s involved in every element of his music — from writing and playing instruments to producing and mixing.

“Blame It On You” adds another layer to his evolving sound, blending honest storytelling with a polished and emotionally charged production style that is quickly becoming Seavey’s signature.
