Australian duo Cosmo’s Midnight releases remix of Album “Yesteryear” Featuring RIMON, Emma-Jean Thackray, Omar S & more
Highlights of the album include a new version of the track ‘Down For You’ which sees the vocals of global phenomenon Ruel now accompanied by those of exciting young R&B artist RIMON. Detroit legend Omar S also drops a raw, bumpin’ house remix of ‘Have It All’ featuring Age.Sex.Location, rising UK talent Emma-Jean Thackray injects some jazz-inflected horns and percussion into her remix of ‘Time Wasted’ and Grammy-nominated New Orleans outfit Hot 8 Brass Band’s rework of ‘Idaho’ is characterised by hypnotic, free-spirited jazz trumpets.
In other parts of the collection, Skeleten opts for a psychedelia-tinged rework of ‘We Could Last Forever’, UK DJ and producer Gerry Read delivers a pitched-up, club-ready take on ‘It’s Love’ and South Korea’s Closet Yi delivers a similarly danceable remix of ‘Unwind’, filled with fluttering synths and rousing piano chords. The album also includes remixes from Friendly Fires, HONNE, and Brame & Hamo released around the original Yesteryear album.
